Trip Information:

Cost: $2,100 | Team Size: Up to 12 | Dates: March 18-24, 2018 | Application must be submitted by Oct. 8, 2017

Ministry Focus:

The objectives of the trip are to drill a shallow-water well, teach hygiene, encourage the villagers, and work with God in a way that is totally different from what you experience in North America. For four days, the team will work on the well or facilitate hygiene training. We attempt to drill a shallow-water well using a mud rotary hydraulic rig or an air drilling rig (depending on the location). The hygiene team provides hygiene education, teaches Bible lessons, and plays with the kids. Usually the team finishes on the fourth day of drilling, and then enjoys the well-dedication ceremony. It is truly a life changing experience.

Country Description:

As the largest country in Central America; it also contains the largest freshwater lake, Lago de Nicaragua. The country has a population of 6.1 million and depends heavily on agricultural and manufacturing industries. Many Nicaraguan families lean on foreign remittances, where family members in the US send funds home.
